If like us you love to workout, but you’re still reluctant to visit the gym in person online workouts could be your answer. While gyms are promoting hygienic Covid-19 measures for those of us who are debating the safety of hitting up a shared fitness centre during the pandemic, there are plenty of ways we can still keep fit and active.

But streaming workouts can be a tricky minefield to navigate. You have to find instructors you like, moves you can do and routines that accomodate the lack of equipment in most homes. Some are even harder to do if you live in a small shared space.

With that said, here’s our list of our five favourite home-workouts to get you active without having to go to the gym …


Cassey Ho, the fitness guru behind the hugely popular Blogilates YouTube channel and website, continues to offer a massive library of pilates-style toning classes. In response to the outbreak, she also created a 14-day quarantine workout plan, a great option for those looking to add structure to their at-home workout schedules.


We’ve all heard of the cult-like fitness phenomena F45. The functional fitness empire claims their team training is life-changing and based on the results we’re convinced. F45 are offering on-demand workouts on your own schedule via the F45 Challenge app and website.

Chloe Ting

Chloe Ting rose to international fame at the start of quarantine, thanks to her free and easy to follow shred challenges. The Australian fitness mogul posts her workouts on her socials, youtube and website which can be accessed from any device. She also offers free nutritional advice and recovery tips.

Kayla Itsines

Kayla Itsines has been the ‘it girl’ of online fitness for years, and for good reason. Kayla’s largely popular “Bikini Body Guides’ which include a 12 week at home body transformation guide are available to download as a PDF for a small fee. The fitness influencer has also launched a fitness app “Sweat” which takes users through guided workouts and meal plans for $20 per month. If you are looking for a free alternative, Kayla’s youtube channel features free full-length workouts to follow along with.


If you like boxing or are feeling ready for a high-intensity, full-body workout session, Rumble is a great option! Their team is sharing cardio and bodyweight workouts via Instagram Reels and IGTV. The sessions require no equipment and are led by engaging staff members.
